I am an accredited strength and conditioning coach currently working as a strength and conditioning consultant to a wide audience; ranging from professional rugby league to down hill mountain bikers to members of the public simply wanting to be healthier.
Health fitness and sport in general has long been my passion, ever since I can remember. It wasn’t until I got to college I decided I want to make this my occupation and headed down the sports science route further at Northumbria University.
During my time in higher education I spent a work placement, along with however many other hours I could get in shadowing the coaches and trainers at my local professional rugby league club the Huddersfield Giants.
My persistence lead to a part time job as the head of academy strength and conditioning before moving on in a full time position at Salford Red Devils and later returning to the Giants racking up 6 years at the top level in the sport.
Now self employed working under my own company, I still consult within professional sport to England RL alongside Trek downhill factory mountain biking team. Any time spent in between is used for 1-1 private clients working towards achieving whatever the goal is they wish.
The approach I have towards coaching any client I work with is both science based research backed by experience to blend a combination of the two to create an innovative environment where I strive to produce the best possible results to enable them to achieve anything they set out to.
